As part of our asset management activities, we undertake research for in-house use and for distribution to subscribers.

SEM Asset Return Database

We provide on an annual subscription basis, a comprehensive database on asset returns and inflation rates in Ghana covering the period 1991 to date. The asset classes covered are:

• Equities
• Government securities
• Corporate Bonds
• Real Estate.

The database is updated every quarter. Subscribers receive the historical database of real and nominal returns and summary statistics such as:

• Arithmetic mean
• Geometric mean
• Standard deviation
• Covariance of returns

The database is normally used by subscribers for portfolio optimization. Typical users include investment managers, brokerage firms, pension and provident funds.
